February 15th is Care Day, the world’s biggest celebration of children and young people with care experience. Care Day 2019 is an opportunity to celebrate the rights of care experienced children and young people and is a joint initiative between five children’s rights charities across the U.K. and Ireland, under the 5 Nations 1 Voice alliance. Become in England, EPIC in Ireland, VOYPIC in Northern Ireland, Voices from Care in Wales and Who Cares? Scotland. The alliance wants a world where the childhood of these children and young people allow them to thrive and achieve their dreams so that they go on to have a future that is fulfilled, and of which they are proud.

Those who care for and support these children and young people are also asked to celebrate. It is also an opportunity to illustrate how care experienced people can feel different from others and why. So, this Care Day, everyone has the chance to get vocal, get social, or help the care experienced community. Learn more about Care Day through their website:

Enjoy your holiday, be thankful for the love around you and spare a thought and a few moments for those in care who may not feel so loved and empowered at this time…we can help them believe that ‘Everything is Possible’.
