Challenging, Purposeful Education

Pownall Hall School is a member of The Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS). IAPS is a professional organisation representing the head teachers of around 600 of the world’s leading prep schools. Founded in 1892 it is the largest Head’s Association in the Independent Schools Council. Its members lead a variety of outstanding schools both in the UK and abroad. The aim of the member schools is to provide a challenging, purposeful education that makes a real difference to each child’s development and future opportunities.

Commitment to Academic Excellence

All IAPS schools are committed to providing academic excellence; delivering an excellent, well-rounded education to the pupils in their care, using subject specialist teaching. They also offer a broad curriculum that places strong emphasis on the arts, sport and humanities as well as traditional academic subjects. They recognise the importance of instilling core social values; imparting the qualities of respect, service, compassion, discipline and integrity.

All IAPS member schools are regularly inspected and accredited against strict membership standards.
